Nascida em 2000, a Marionet é uma companhia de teatro de Coimbra com um trabalho continuado de cruzamento das artes performativas com a ciência. Desenvolve criações artísticas originais a partir de temas científicos, realiza investigação na área da intersecção artes performativas-ciência, promove trabalhos artísticos colaborativos com cientistas, participa em projectos de formação avançada em centros de investigação científica e está envolvida em projectos de ciência participativa.

Em 2010 foi seleccionada para companhia residente, durante sete meses, no Centro de Neurociências e Biologia Celular da Universidade de Coimbra, no âmbito do Programa Rede de Residências da DGArtes e Agência Ciência Viva. Desde então a companhia tem colaborado com este centro de investigação em actividades de promoção da ciência, no seu programa de formação avançada em biologia experimental e biomedicina na área de comunicação da ciência, assim como em vários projectos artísticos.
Em 2012 iniciou o Centro de Documentação em Artes Performativas e Ciência, um repositório de peças teatrais e ensaios sobre o cruzamento entre estas duas áreas do conhecimento. Em 2015 a actividade da companhia foi financiada pelo cientista e escritor norte-americano Carl Djerassi. Destaca-se também, entre 2009 e 2016, a participação na Noite Europeia dos Investigadores, em parceria com o Museu da Ciência da Universidade de Coimbra, com a criação de peças de teatro em colaboração com cientistas.

hYbrid

The hYbrid project is a platform for sharing thoughts on Science and Art issues. Amongst the wide diversity of Science and Art collaborative projects, hYbrid centres its interests on Life Sciences projects. Therefore, hYbrid hopes to highlight a broad range of Science and Art collaborative projects, raising different issues, approaches and disciplines by gathering information on events, exhibitions, essays, and other relevant information.

The hYbrid project was created by the Office for Science Communication (OSC) at the Associate Laboratory IBMC.INEB in January 2008.

The hYbrid project is a platform for sharing thoughts on Science and Art connections and mismatches.

Amongst the wide variety of Science and Art collaborative projects, hYbrid will centre its interests on those projects that focus in the Life Sciences.
Therefore, hYbrid hopes to highlight a broad range of Science and Art collaborative projects, raising different issues, approaches and disciplines by gathering information on events, exhibitions, essays, and other relevant information.
On the whole, hYbrid hopes to give a dynamic and fresh perspective of Science and Art.
