Nascido em 1951, no Colorado, Eric Ellis Overmyer é dramaturgo, guionista e produtor. Licenciado em teatro pelo Reed College em 1973, é autor de várias peças aclamadas pela crítica como “On the Verge”, “The Heliotrope Bouquet by Scott Joplin and Louis Chauvin” ou “In Perpetuity Throughout the Universe”.
Para televisão escreveu e produziu inúmeros programas, incluindo “St. Elsewhere”, “Homicide: Life on the Street”, “Law & Order”, “The Wire”, “New Amsterdam”, “Bosch”, “Treme” e “The Man in the High Castle”.
